StarFabric is a powerful switched interconnect that enables the expansion and enhancement of existing PCI-based systems. It offers the ability to increase the number of PCI slots to hundreds, providing expansion and scaleability as needed.
The PM410 is a CompactPCI PMC carrier board with StarFabric links. It is capable of hosting two single PMC modules or one dual PMC module. It supports maximum PCI data rate on both PMC sites and allows for cascading of multiple PM410s via J3.
The carrier provides a StarFabric interconnect between two PMC modules, four external StarFabric links on J3 and a CompactPCI interface on J1/J2. In addition to providing a StarFabric interconnect, the carrier also routes the user defined I/Os from the two PMC sites to J5.
