Description

The XCalibur4100 is a 6U CompactPCI single board computer designed to provide maximum performance and I/O options while minimizing power consumption. The Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) Intel® Core™ Duo processor or Low Voltage (LV) Intel® Core™2 Duo processor provides the XCalibur4100 with a significant performance-per-watt processing advantage. Additionally, the Intel 3100 chipset combines the functionalities of an integrated server-class memory controller (Northbridge) and an I/O controller (Southbridge) into a single device that is specifically intended for power- and board-space-sensitive embedded applications.

In addition to native four-port SATA controller support, on-card graphics support, Gigabit Ethernet connectivity to 2.16 and front panel, a PCI PMC or PCI Express XMC slot is available for high bandwidth I/O. Hot Swap support allows the XCalibur4100 to be installed into a live system without disrupting CompactPCI bus activity. Additionally, system management bus support allows the card to be powered down and reset remotely through the optional IPMI interface.

Up to 8 GB of DDR2-400 SDRAM and up to 4 GB of NAND flash are available for ample on-card memory capacity. 4 MB of Firmware Hub (FWH) space is also supported for redundant BIOS or OS kernel storage.
