August 18, 2009: Extreme Engineering Solutions is shipping XCalibur1501, the first MPC8572E based 6U CompactPCI board that scales from commercial to full blown defense (conduction-cooled) applications. Targeting Freescale Semiconductor’s dual-core MPC 8572E PowerQUICC™ III processor, XCalibur1501 is being adopted by commercial, industrial and defense system architects demanding high processing performance with low power consumption.
