6U CompactPCI Board features Intel® Core™2 Duo

Extreme Engineering has once again answered the embedded system developer’s ubiquitous question: “How can I improve CompactPCI system performance without escalating power requirements or jettisoning critical features?” Full speed ahead with the XCalibur4100, a sturdy product designed to be light on power and quick in performance.

The XCalibur4100 combines the low-power Intel® Core™2 Duo processor with industry standard USB, SATA, Gigabit Ethernet, Serial (RS-232 / RS-422), and DVI-I (Analog and Digital Graphics) interfaces. Up to 8 GB of DDR2 SDRAM puts “wind in the sails” of any memory intensive application. An expansion XMC / PMC slot provides easy product customization. An optional RTM module is available and allows access to all front panel interfaces, as well as audio line-out and line-in.
